Our Relationship Coffees now have a name: It’s the Nayarit Sweet Suite™; “Nayarit” for their terroir—their origin in the mountains of the state of Nayarit; “Sweet” for their uncanny sweet flavors; “Suite” to refer to our variety of five different offerings composed by coffees from this precious micro-region.

The miraculous coffees of Malinal and Chocolón, grown in the state of Nayarit in the Western Sierras of Mexico, are true rarities in the coffee world. Shade grown high in the forests, inside an Ecological Reserve and migratory bird flyway, these are simply some of the sweetest, richest coffees produced on this planet. Small family co-ops cultivate these heirloom varieties sustainably, without the use of chemical pesticides or fertilizers. We travel to these communities and continue to support their sustainable agriculture by paying premium, above-market prices, and also work directly with the importer to support a unique, quality-based profit-sharing plan which is bringing improved processing tools and living standards to the area. Through a long relationship with the growers of Malinal and Chocolón, in the spirit of Quality, Sustainability, and Culture™, we feature these coffees in Espresso Chocolón™, Misty Fjords™, Ebony Pearls™ French Roast, Organic Mahogany Sweets™, and Organic Nayarit DeCaf.

    We get raves for the superlative clean aftertaste of this spicy, bittersweet libation of smoky onyx ecstasy. Nearly black appearance. Very Oily surface. Unique fragrance, quite different from other degrees of roast. Unique from other roasters in that there is no carbony aftertaste. None! French Roast. (Our darkest roast.)

    This awesome elixir offers the complexity of the most exotic of blends. Chocolón’s naturally processed, tree-dried and patio-dried coffees present a ripe, fruity sweetness, resonant depth, heavy body, and dreamy finish. Gorgeous crema and buttery mouthfeel. We’ve dubbed this the, “Moka of the Americas.” Dark Roast.
