Anthony Robbins…. Have you heard of him?  If you’ve been into personal growth for very long it’s likely you have.  He lives and thrives on improving the quality of people’s lives.  I think that’s pretty noble.  Robbins was the featured guest In the January 2009 Issue of Success magazine.  There is an article about him in this issue followed by a question and answer session with him.  It is from that question and answer session that this post is based upon.  (Click here to read the full article and interview.)

In the last two posts I talked about deciding clearly who you want to be and about the value of saying yes and no to the right things.  As I was reading through this interview with Anthony Robbins I noticed that he took these things a step further, which I really appreciated and wanted to pass along to you.  Robbins poses a question for us to ask ourselves Read More »

“Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least. “ ~ Goethe

The clock is ticking.  It still is.  Time doesn’t stop.  You only have a limited amount of time that you live on this earth.

As you close your eyes tonight - this very night - another day will have ended.  Will you look back at the day fulfilled - satisfied with how you spent your time?  If you were to write down all the things you did or all the ways you spent your time what would it reflect?

What/who is important to you?  Have you spent your time Read More »

If I mentioned the song, “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” what would you think of? Have you ever got a song stuck in your head and you could not get it out? You just could not stop singing it no matter how hard you tried? That’s pretty annoying, isn’t it! Do you know the best way to stop that song from repeating itself in your head? Playing another song or songs is probably the best way. There is a powerful lesson contained in this called Read More »

Overcome evil with good,

and hatred with love.”

Peace Pilgrim

Last week we looked at the four preparations of peace taught by Peace Pilgrim.  In the comments, Henie shared a little more information about Peace Pilgrim:  “Peace Pilgrim’s name was Mildred Norman and ….. she died instantly in a car collision! An amazing life’s work…she walked 25,000 miles across America…stopping to eat only when Read More »

Stress…..Is it a part of your life?  Is stress inevitable?  Is there anything that can be done about stress?  I don’t know about you, but I don’t know of many people who don’t deal with stress on a regular basis.

For the first part of this week, I was away traveling.  It was a wonderful time!!  The rest of the week, I spent in some much needed “me” time.  So for this week’s post, I wanted to do something short and sweet that will hopefully leave you with something to think about and help you if you implement just one of these tips about stress.  This is not my original, but rather I found it in a book that I’ve had for several years.  I just happened to find this information while I was searching for something else in the book.  The book is called “The Melaleuca Wellness Guide” and the information is under a section about:

Stress

Ninety percent of all visits to health care providers are due to Read More »

Are you in Balance?

balance, inner peace, priorities, time management September 18th, 2008

Are you in balance?

I came to the realization recently that I’m out of balance.  Going back to last week’s post, I realized that I have minimized certain aspects of my life.  I spend a considerable amount of time with myself every day (which I require), but I have still been out of balance.  So what’s the deal?  Where is the imbalance coming from?  That’s what I’ve been trying to discover.  I took a lot of time off this week trying to figure it all out and took some different “me time” than usual.  I even broke out the clay and the paint!

This time has been very helpful, but I still have a ways to go yet.  The main things I have figured out so far are: Read More »
