“Wherever you go, no matter what the weather, always bring your own sunshine.” ~Anthony J. D’Angelo

This weeks post is not going to be a long one, but it has HUGE potential…

We’ve all been around those people….  The room brightens up when they leave.  Everything is negative.  Nothing is good.

We’ve all also been around those people who brighten a room every time they enter one.  When they leave you just feel good about yourself.  You feel good about life.

What if…. just what if…. we could brighten every place we go.  What if we could make a difference everywhere we go, every place we visit, with every person with whom we have contact….

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” ~ Acts 20:35

Sometimes we come across extra special people in our lives.  Sometimes we come across those people who offer us gifts of  hope and healing, joy and peace, unconditional love, acceptance and respect.  The world would not be the same without them.  OUR world, OUR life, would not be the same without them.  It was no accident that God put these people into our lives.  What is the best way to say thank you to these people and to God?

What happens when we keep these gifts to ourselves?

Something interesting happens after a time when we keep these gifts…..  We actually become weighed down.  The gifts become heavy on our shoulders.

If we were to ask any of the people who have given us these gifts what they wanted us to do with them, I am most certain they would all unanimously say to Read More »

If I mentioned the song, “Row, Row, Row Your Boat” what would you think of? Have you ever got a song stuck in your head and you could not get it out? You just could not stop singing it no matter how hard you tried? That’s pretty annoying, isn’t it! Do you know the best way to stop that song from repeating itself in your head? Playing another song or songs is probably the best way. There is a powerful lesson contained in this called Read More »

Words of Wisdom and Peace

Peace, inner peace, purpose, relantionships, wisdom March 6th, 2009

peace-pilgrim-3

In the last two posts, we have discussed the four preparations of peace and the four purifications of peace taught by Peace Pilgrim.  We also discussed Peace Pilgrim’s message which is so very powerful.  These posts generated much thought and discussion as we all went within to examine our own lives.

Today, I wanted to share with you some “random” thoughts that were collected  from Peace Pilgrim’s teachings.  I find each one of them thought provoking and powerful.  See what you think….

* We can all spend our lives going about doing good. Every time you meet a person, think of some Read More »

“This is the way of peace:
Overcome evil with good,
and falsehood with truth,
and hatred with love.”
….
Peace Pilgrim

Last week we looked at the four preparations of peace taught by Peace Pilgrim.  In the comments, Henie shared a little more information about Peace Pilgrim:  “Peace Pilgrim’s name was Mildred Norman and ….. she died instantly in a car collision! An amazing life’s work…she walked 25,000 miles across America…stopping to eat only when Read More »

Peace Pilgrim…..Have you heard of her?  She spent her life sharing peace with others. She walked over 25,000 miles all over the U.S. and into Canada and Mexico on a personal pilgrimage to share peace with others.  Peace Pilgrim truly understood what peace is.

I would like to thank my friend, Stephen Hopson, for pointing me in the way of Peace Pilgrim.  I was not aware of her life or what she stood for until Stephen brought her to my attention.  Apparently, he noticed some kind of correlation between us. ;)

Peace Pilgrim taught several steps to inner peace.  Today, I would like to share with you her message and four preparations of inner peace. Read More »

Stress…..Is it a part of your life?  Is stress inevitable?  Is there anything that can be done about stress?  I don’t know about you, but I don’t know of many people who don’t deal with stress on a regular basis.

For the first part of this week, I was away traveling.  It was a wonderful time!!  The rest of the week, I spent in some much needed “me” time.  So for this week’s post, I wanted to do something short and sweet that will hopefully leave you with something to think about and help you if you implement just one of these tips about stress.  This is not my original, but rather I found it in a book that I’ve had for several years.  I just happened to find this information while I was searching for something else in the book.  The book is called “The Melaleuca Wellness Guide” and the information is under a section about:

Stress
