I’m a Star!
interview September 30th, 2008I’m a star! Well, at least I’m being interviewed at the Adversity University Blog by Stephen Hopson both this week and next week. I found Stephen’s great site several months back and have always been impressed by his posts. I quickly subscribed once I found his blog. After hanging out at his site and commenting for quite sometime I then decided to send him a quick email. We have been good friends since. What impresses me about Stephen is his authenticity and …..hold on to your boots…. He is a deaf pilot. How many of you can say that?! In addition to that, Stephen is a motivational public speaker! Yes, you heard me right… Stephen is a deaf pilot AND public speaker. Also, Stephen is in the process of authoring his first book. Now, what excuse do you have for not reaching your dreams and goals?!
I’m a bit nervous about this interview. This isn’t just a little interview, so please give me some good feedback to calm my nerves. :) If you have anything bad to say, try to hold it in this time.

Wow, congratulations. I have been following Stephen’s blog since a long time. Very inspiring. His interviews are always interesting. The best part is, he always gives extra input and adds his own thoughts after your answers.
If you are nervous, go through some of his past interviews to get a feel of his interviewing style.
And hey … you are being interviewed for who you are. You don’t need to worry about being someone who you are not (In fact it wouldn’t do justice to the interview if you do so because he wants to introduce you to his readers) Just be yourself and I am sure things will go great.

Great interview Jennifer, now I can’t wait for Part II! You should be very proud of what you’ve created here. It’s a honor to read these “real” words you share in all your writings.
You ARE a star!!
Hi Jennifer. Woo hoo! Have fun and just be yourself. Now if you’ll excuse me I have to go get my sunglasses. There’s a star shining pretty brightly

Hi Jennifer - That was a fantastic interview. You shared more about you and being a loyal reader, it was great to hear it in your own words.
Stephen is great, isn’t he. I also enjoyed the interview he did with Lorelle.
Part II - I hate to have to wait.

The interview is wonderful!
I’m just so humbled and overwhelmed with gratitude for all your comments. Thank you all so much for your support.
Avani, It’s great to see you back here! You must be feeling much better. I know you are glad of that.
Stephen is very inspiring isn’t he! He does a great job with his blog and everything he does. I can’t wait to hear him speak one day.
I too love the comments he adds to all the interviewee’s responses. You can tell he really loves doing that.
You were so right about being myself in the interview. That’s exactly what I tried to do, but I have just always been nervous being in the spotlight. My comfort zone is to stay behind the scenes. I think I have learned a lot about myself just from this nervousness. Just another opportunity for more growth.
Glad you enjoyed the interview. Thanks for your support!
Lance, thanks so much for your words of encouragement. It’s my joy to share these “real” words here.
Davina,
Thanks so much for your words. I was still nervous this morning, but with words like yours my nerves have quieted down and it’s easier to just be myself. Hope you don’t get blinded.
:)
Barbara, thanks so much! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Part II will come soon.
Stephen IS great! Pretty amazing.
I also really enjoyed the interview he did with Lorelle. I also enjoyed the interview you did with her.
Ari, no I didn’t.
Miguel, Welcome!!! It is so great to have you here! I can’t wait to read your inspiring comments.
Storm, you are so right. The nerves are disappearing fast. I do trust myself, my friend, and my choice of friends. I think it’s just the whole spotlight thing.
Thanks so much Robin. It’s so great to have you here!
How exciting! Congratulations. I am sure it will be a fabulous interview! Just be yourself. Why is it that everywhere I go today people keep telling me I need to write a book, or work on a book…or now there is NO excuse to write a book.
Actually I would love to interview you too! Send me an email when you have some free time
Whoops! Started to read the comments and realized you already have a post up over there. That was a great interview. You did me proud!!!
Thanks for sharing that great story. And congratulations, Jennifer. Well done.
Dr. Nicole, glad you enjoyed the interview and that I could make you proud. lol Free time… Why don’t I just email you anyway.
Really you would like to interview me too? Maybe I’ll just get really good at this interviewing thing.
Jeff, thanks so much for peaking your head out and commenting at the site.
Welcome! Glad you enjoyed the interview and thanks for all the words of encouragement.
My head is starting to get a little big today with all these good words from all of you. I think I’ll go try to do some deflating.
BTW - When I’m put in the spotlight or am nervous I sometimes tend to get a little silly. I think that has all come out now. Sorry.
Maybe that should have been something in the interview. lol
That really was too many smilies in the last comment. The silliness has definitely come out. :0
Oh and Dr. Nicole, go get started on that book!
Your’ a star! No doubts about that Jennifer!

Andy, How awesome to have the creator of the Comment Luv plugin to come to my blog! Welcome and thank you for creating the plugin! It looks like I haven’t quiet made it around to upgrading to the new version. Gotta get that done.
Thanks for the confidence. I don’t feel so nervous any more. Stephen is a super guy and I do love his writing. I have seen the clips on his promotional video on his site. It was very impressive. Can’t wait to see him present in person one day.
